I decided that I need some projects and in June I went on a photowalk. I was struck by the fact that quite a few of my favourite pictures had a lot of yellow in them. So I decided I am going to concentrate on one colour per month for a year - randomly chosen. June is yellow, the allocation for July is blue. August's challenge is orange and in September I had the challenge of white. October was black, November Green and December's colour is grey.

August - Orange

Taken in August in my garden. I was hoping to take a lot of pictures this month, but didn't get out and about much. However, I do adore this dahlia that I grew from seed from a mix of colours and that actually survived the slugs.
July - Blue
Camera: Olympus Tough TG7 1/250sec at f/4.9 ISO 100, 18mm
Taken: July 2025
Taken in July in Northampton - I actually know one of the people that own the shop - very expensive ladies clothing down a side street, but one of the few Blue photos that I actually like. I thought that I wouldn't have much trouble finding good photos of blue things, but despite being surrounded by NHS Blue I wasn't very inspired.
June - Yellow
Camera: Canon EOS250d EF-S24mm f/2.8, 1/250sec at f/5.6 ISO 200
Taken: June 2025
This was one of the photos that I took on a photowalk in Birmingham that probably kicked off the colour project really.
